I don’t think I have shared this recipe before.  It is a favorite.  I make it every time I think our dinner might possibly go with it.  Curry, Spagetti, Gyros.

2 Cucumbers

1 Tomato

A few Slices of Red Onion

Balsamic Vinager

EVOO

Salt

Pepper

Slice cucumbers thin.  Slice tomatoes into thin quarters.Slice a few rings off of the red onion.

Add into a bowl with equal parts of EVOO and Vinager.  Enought to generously coat the vegetbales.

Salt and Pepper to taste.  Mix.

I now add to a large ziplock bag and throughly mix.  Let sit while I prepare the rest of the dinner. Return to bowl.

Serve.

It is delicious!

Join the cause.  Babies should be able to nurse anywhere they are hungry.  Now, I know that photos of babies nursing are not actually hungry babies needing to nurse right now.  It isn’t like being at the Library or something.  But it is normal and not obscene.

To support this I changed my profile on facebook.  A photo of Lily and Me.

Both of my baby girls got these cute little cabbage patch newborn dolls from my Mom.  One of the dolls has the same birthday as my daughter.  LOL

I remember my first Cabbage Patch doll.  I was much older than my little girls are, but they were new and I wanted one really bad.  It was my birthday and I remember just shaking as I opened the package because I was so excited.  My first Cabbage Patch doll was from my Grandma T.  And I loved it.

A little belated, but Christmas around here is a full day or two.    We are blessed to have family close.

Christmas always gives me a chance to not only reflect on the Savior and his birth, but his mother.  His momma  is one of my ’strong women’.   One of the women I look to during my times of struggles.  One of the women I look to as an example and strength.

I am grateful for what we know about this chosen woman.

I love learning about her.  I love the story of Jesus’ birth.

And while we were driving yesterday I felt a kinship to Christians everywhere who were celebrating his birth, telling their children of the story of his birth.

Adorableness is all I have to say about this child.  O.k. That isn’t all.  I could talk for hours about this sweet baby girl.  If I could only say one word about her, that word would be JOY.

But since I have an entire language in which I can choose words from.  JOY just tops the list.  Adorable, Sweet, Cute. Happy, JOY BABY.  And yes…from the womb, NINJA BABY still fits her very nicely.

Crawling, a tooth, standing, a few reluctant steps, lots of big open mouth (hers) kisses.   What an amazing, beautiful part of my family, part of my life.

The days are now getting longer   There is now more daylight as each day passes.

Growing up I always wished I had been part of a Culture.  I felt like we (my community in general) were cultruless.  We lacked rich traditions.  As an adult, I realize I couldn’t see the forrest for the trees.  I grew up in a very rich culture full of tradition.  Traditions around family and holidays.   A culture of God fearing people focused on service.  A cutlre that has traditons with new babies, baptisms, weddings, and death.  I grew up just how I always wished I had.  A culture full of tradition with an emphasis on family.
