Cabbage Patch Dolls
December 28, 2008 at 1:59 am (Uncategorized)
Both of my baby girls got these cute little cabbage patch newborn dolls from my Mom. One of the dolls has the same birthday as my daughter. LOL
I remember my first Cabbage Patch doll. I was much older than my little girls are, but they were new and I wanted one really bad. It was my birthday and I remember just shaking as I opened the package because I was so excited. My first Cabbage Patch doll was from my Grandma T. And I loved it.

All in the Family

I have heard of lots of family busiensses. Or sons following in their father’s footsteps. My husband is an Engineer, as is his brother, Dad, and grandfather. They aren’t all in the same business, but fairly related fields.
But does it seem Dentists seem to follow this pattern a lot? I have a friend. Her Dad is a dentist (retired) her brothers are all dentists. Large family too. Our Dentist in Colorado was the Dad of a Dad/Son practice. Our current dentist is the younger brother in a Brother/Brother practice. But now the Older Dentist’s Son is a dentist in the practice.
It is cold

It is cold, so very, very cold.
In case I forgot why I don’t want to live in this state. My reminder is right outside my front door with freezing temperatures, snow and ice.
In case I forgot why I became a hermit for the better part December, January, and February (well, February probably had something to do with a bundle of pink that joined our family).

Remember These Shows?
December 11, 2008 at 3:39 pm (Uncategorized)
When my big kids were little, we would sit down and watich
Bob The Builder. My boys loved this show. We had a Bob the Builder Costume and everything.
Bear in the Big Blue House. It doesn’t get sweeter than this show.
Gullah Gullah Island. This was my personal Favorite.
Out of the Box. Another great show that Marina use to watch.
And I am sure many others.
My baby girls watch
Dora the Explorer. THis was on when my big kids were little too. So we have a lot of years watching this one. It is Zoe’s current favorite.
Signing Time. This one seems to have up and disappeared.
Veggie Tales. I love Veggie Tales. So does Zoe.
But I’m feeling a bit nostalgic for some of those shows I use to watch with my big kids. It was Disney Preschool or something. Now it is Play House Disney.
One of the beauty of books. Your favorites seem to stick around, though they can always go out of print.
the Very Hungry Caterpillar

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is one of Zoë’s very favorite books. It has been since she was very little. When she was about 9 months old, Zoë ate her very hungry caterpillar book. There goes our first copy. Since then we have read and re-read and re-read through two more copies of our Very Hungry Caterpillar book. Today, I just threw away that third copy. I guess she just might get a new one for Christmas.
