RSV season is here! Yuck, yuck, yuck. I was talking to a ped at the doctor’s office. She mentioned PCMC has already had several cases of RSV this year.
As most of you know, our daughter Zoe was very sick with RSV when she was a newborn. Since then I have become and advocate of “Keep your baby healthy”. Of course, we suspect Zoe got sick from her siblings who brought it home from school. It happens. One of the risk factors for RSV is having older siblings.
If you have a baby under 2 years old this RSV season, or if you have a child who is at high risk for serious RSV disease, please be careful and be aware.
For more information on RSV disease you can visit The CDC- RSV homepage.

Pretty flower, eh? Not so pretty, and very cold snow.
{{{{BRRRRR}}}}}
And…we are still sick!
This round
4 people with stomach flu
4 people with colds
1 small boy with asthma.
His asthma routine consists of breathing treatments morning and night with a maintence medication. Breathing treatments as needed for symptoms with albuterol (rescue medication). This has been up to four times a day.
But if all goes well, we will be escaping winter and headed for Cali mid week! Wish us luck and pray for a safe trip.

So I was thinking this morning at 4 a.m. after I can’t remember the last time I slept.
4 a.m. and I was
*Changing sheets on the bed for the second time that night.
*changing clothes of 2 children
*listening to two babies cry while I was trying to get this all done.
*cleaning up the carpet.
*bathing one child
and this after we have had sickies in the house for four weeks.
Colds, Mastitis, croup, colds, and now (drum roll please) stomach flu.
Last night I had two little girls up with croup. One little boy up with stomach flu.
And it goes round and round and round.
I’m unfortunantly grumpy.
But we all know mommyhood is monitarily one of the poorest paying, and unappreciative jobs around, but so very full of joy and reward.
