10 month old Lily

Adorableness is all I have to say about this child.  O.k. That isn’t all.  I could talk for hours about this sweet baby girl.  If I could only say one word about her, that word would be JOY.

But since I have an entire language in which I can choose words from.  JOY just tops the list.  Adorable, Sweet, Cute. Happy, JOY BABY.  And yes…from the womb, NINJA BABY still fits her very nicely.

Crawling, a tooth, standing, a few reluctant steps, lots of big open mouth (hers) kisses.   What an amazing, beautiful part of my family, part of my life.

There’s no F in Way!

Imagine:  Very crowded McDonalds.  I am sitting down for breakfast with the kids.

We were all laughing, joking, and gearing up for a great day at Disneyland.

One of them says:  “Mom, take the F out of Way”

No sooner than the words came out of my mouth (in a very loud voice) than I realized

He got me good!

First Steps

Lily took her first steps today.

She seemed annoyed and scared that she was doing it.  But she still did it!

For the most part she just stands there grunting and flapping her arms.  Maybe she is hoping to fly instead?

The World of a Two Year Old.

Two year olds say the sweetest things.  And it is wonderful to see into their little minds.

The other day we put up our Christmas Tree.  Marina (11) put a blue blanket around the tree to use as a tree skirt.  Zoë said “Is that because the tree was crying”.

Today she wanted these pizza bites for lunch.  I told her I needed to cook them.  Her reply “So they can burn my mouth.”

No sweetheart.  We will let them cool before you eat them.

“You have such Well Behaved Children”

Wow, pick me up off the floor.

We were at Lunch yesterday, the Children and I.  As we were leaving the waitress said this to me.  Wow, I have never, ever heard this comment about my children before.  Wow, wow, wow.

I think they are really great kids :)

Three year olds

I remember when Marina was three.  She was so very big.  Practically grown.  A great big girl.  I mean, she use to be smaller and now she is was bigger.  And she was the biggest of my children.

Well guess what?  Three isn’t big at all.

Zoë is just around the corner from three.  She is 2 years 11 months and 10 days.  Just weeks from three.  Zoë is little.  So very little.  Still a baby really.  Though she gets horribly offended if you call her anything but a ‘big girl’ she just doen’t know.  3 year olds are still babies.

And I don’t even think of Marina as practically grown anymore.  At 11 she is a little girl in a bigger body.  LOL.  Maybe she is a big girl now. ;)

ISAAC!!!!

My sweet little boy is 7 years old today!  7!

7 years ago today he entered this world a tiny, bald 8 pound, 8 ounce baby.  Born at home after a beautiful birth.

And here we are 7 years later.  He is a lean, blond, viking of a boy.   He is totaly and completely so full of life.

He wears his emotions on his sleeve, adores his baby sisters, is tender and kind hearted.

Maybe, just mabye he will let me take some recent photos of him today :)

This song to me tells of Isaac.

This is a call to the colorblind
This is an IOU
I’m stranded behind the horizon line
Tied up in something true

Yes I’m grounded
Got my wings clipped
I’m surrounded by all this pavement
Guess I’ll circle
While I’m waiting for my fuse to dry

Chorus:
Someday I’ll fly
Someday I’ll soar
Someday I’ll be so damn much more
Cause I’m bigger than my body gives me credit for

Why is it not the time?
What is there more to learn?.. yeah
I shed this skin I’ve been tripping in
Never to quite return

Yes I’m grounded
Got my wings clipped
I’m surrounded by all this pavement
Guess I’ll circle
While I’m waiting for my fuse to dry

Someday I’ll fly
Someday I’ll soar
Someday I’ll be so damn much more
Cause I’m bigger than my body gives me credit for
Cause I’m bigger than my body now

Maybe I’ll tangle in the power lines
And it might be over in a second’s time
But I’ll gladly go down in a flame
If a flame’s what it takes to remember my name
To remember my name, yeah

Yes I’m grounded
Got my wings clipped
I’m surrounded by all this pavement
Guess I’ll circle
While I’m waiting for my fuse to dry
Waiting for my fuse to dry

Someday I’ll fly
Someday I’ll soar
Someday I’ll be so damn much more
Cause I’m bigger than my body
I’m bigger than my body
I’m bigger than my body now

Oooh… Oooh….Ooo..Ooo
Oooh… Oooh….Ooo..Ooo

(Bigger than My Body Gives me Credit For)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!

9 months old

Sweet Baby Lily is now 9 months old.

I am woefully behind on her pediatrician visits.  But if I were to guess, she is now about 20 pounds.

She is happy, happy, happy.  Toothless, and still a crawler (rather than a walker).

She is such a Joy.  Such a wonderful little person.

the Boy with the $5,000 smile

Make that $5,134.00 and counting…..

I am not sure if that is the exact number.  But we have spent a pretty penny on this boy’s teeth.  So, I sure hope he ends up with a cute smile, dimple to dimple.

Today was another trip to the dentist.  Spacer replaced, cleaning, and another appointment to fill the four cavities they found today.

With this child, one dentist appointment is just about guaranteed to turn into four more appointments.
