A gaggle of little witches, followed by a bunch of little Harry Potters. Next came the half a dozen vampires and a couple of hippies….and thus went the Halloween Parade out K Elementry School.
It seems that within each class there was a heavy influence of what they would dress as for Halloween.
I admit my favorite was the gaggle of little witches. Adorable.
Marina is a Greecian Goddess, Nick just wore a Halloween t-shirt. Isaac was a transformer. Zoe came in her costume as a cute little lady bug.
O.k. I admit. I enjoyed this one. I had fun. Zoe had fun. Loved watching all the little ones dressed up. The 6th graders do their little dance. Thriller, I think?
And one more day until Halloween NIght.

Costco shoppers anyway…
A few weeks ago we were at Costco. The shopping cart ran over Zoe’s bare foot. Screaming toddler, blood everywhere. I take her and run to the bathrooms….a trail of blood behind us and the howls of a toddler in pain. The women’s bathroom was closed. Not sure why. Big signs that said “Keep out, Danger”. Hmmm, me thinks it isn’t just closed for cleaning. We run into the Men’s bathroom. What else was I suppose to do? Let my child bleed all over their store? I clean her up, wash, pressure. We find someone to find us a bandaid. She had a nasty cut on her foot. But it has healed well.
Fast forward to today
Costco again, another shopping cart accident. Not nearly so bloody.
I put Zoe and Lily in the cart side by side today. That is the cool thing about the Costco shopping carts. A bit later Lily starts fussing. But she is really fussy today. But soon enough I took note. Her foot was caught in the cart. Not just caught. It is good and stuck! Poor little thing was fussing because she couldn’t get her foot out. I try. Nope, she is good and stuck. I try some more. I’m starting to panic a little bit. Her foot is stuck in this cart. I finally caught the attention of a couple of ladies to help. Nope, This chubby little foot would not budge. We tried different angles, lifting her body. She was stuck. Well, the comotion caught the attention of a man who knew just what to do. We lifted Zoe out, lifted the seat a bit and her foot slid right out. A bit bruised but she will be fine.
Now, you have been warned.

I am not sure where the time has gone. But my sweet baby Lily is 8 months old. She is such a joy. I call her my joy baby
I am so very blessed to have this person in my family.
Lily’s latest accomplishment is climbing! I think I can officially call her miss trouble now too. She is into everything she can get into. But she is the sweetest little baby. I love her.

I think she is teething (she is chewing on everything)

More chewing…the photos weren’t going to happen without something for her to chew on.
There is one that shows her pretty little face

Zoe had a great time. Disney was a hit for her. This was the first trip that she noticed the big kids get to ride on rides that she doesn’t so I took extra time making sure she got to ride on some rides she would love. I sure enjoy her

We spent the weekend in my beloved Southern California. Someday I might live there. But right now I live in the Cold and Snowy Rocky Mountains. And it takes many hours to get to my beloved Southern California.
We spent 2 days and Disney. Then we went to my Ocean! We went to this incredible beach. It is a State Park, all protected, and wasn’t at all crowded. This trip to the beach went much better than the last one with the little babies. They both had a good enough time. And I love soaking it all up.
I need to plan another trip to the beach to get me through the Winter.

Pretty flower, eh? Not so pretty, and very cold snow.
{{{{BRRRRR}}}}}
And…we are still sick!
This round
4 people with stomach flu
4 people with colds
1 small boy with asthma.
His asthma routine consists of breathing treatments morning and night with a maintence medication. Breathing treatments as needed for symptoms with albuterol (rescue medication). This has been up to four times a day.
But if all goes well, we will be escaping winter and headed for Cali mid week! Wish us luck and pray for a safe trip.

Today was our Local Walk to Remember. I was able to go with my little girls.
The balloons represent babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, and newborns. Babies who are loved, wanted, and missed.

Most babies take a nap during the day. Often one or two, one or two hour naps during the middle of the day. These naps or made for sleeping. After all, I believe that is the definition of a nap.
Lily isn’t so much into naps as she is into un naps. What is an un nap, you ask? An un nap is the opposite of a nap. Instead of taking place during the middle of the day, these un naps happen in the middle of the night. And instead of sleeping, well, the child is awake!
Just like a nap, these un naps last one or two hours and happen once or twice during the night.
If your baby naps instead of un naps, count yourself lucky. But I think I will count myself lucky that my sweet baby girl un naps. Yes, I am a little lot more tired than I otherwise would be. But I get hours during the night to snuggle on and love my baby girl. Just the two of us in the quiet wee hours of the night.

On other Lily news. She had her 7 1/2 month well baby appointment. She comes out at 18 pounds 2 ounces, 27 1/4 inches long and a head circumfrence of 17 1/4 inches. This makes her about 50% all the way around. She also recieved a HIB and Prevnar Shot.
