Impressive

Isaac found a box of stuff of things I have from High School. I’m not sure why he decided to go through it but he noticed a number of ‘awards’. Honor Roll, High Honor Roll, Citizenship, etc. And well….Isaac is very impressed. He said

“Wow Mom, you must be smart”.

Then he went on and said something about all I do is change diapers. LOL. That was funny. I said “Yes, but I am using my skills to do the very best thing I can be doing.”

All these brains and I spend my time changing diapers. That is how it should be :)

My Bucket List

I confess, I have not actually seen the movie yet.  It is on my list ;)   But I think it is a great idea.

I was talking with some family members about their bucket lists over the 4th of July holiday.   It was fun and fascinating to hear what everyone had to say.

Here is the very start of my so far very short bucket list.

1.  I want to learn to Surf.

2.  I want to learn to digital scrapbook.  This is mostly so I can design fun blogs

3.  I enjoy traveling and would like to see Ireland, or India, or China

O.k. that is what I have so far.  But I always like to learn so I am sure it will be ever evolving.

One of my favorite photos

This is one of my favorite photos. It was taken at Kennecott copper mine. The man who took it was more of a photographer than I anticipated and I think I insulted him when I flipped the setting on my camera to auto mode. He switched it back :) LOL He was a nice, old man and took a number of photos for us.

I like this photo because it is me doing something I love. Spending time with not only my children, but children. I actually love, love, love kids. They are the best. From that itty bitty baby all the way up to those two big girls.

Avatar the last Airbender

This is some show and we have been watching it at our house for quite some time now.  Last night was the finale with a 2 hour movie.  So how did we celebrate?  With an Avatar the Last Airbender party!  Yep, that is right…we had a party.

We invited Charice and Camden.  We had Chinese Food.  We watched the movie

**warning, spoiler below**

Ang defended the firelord.  I know you were all worried about how it just might end.  But I figure it probably wouldn’t be a very good show if the firelord won? huh?  Whew, that isn’t what happened.

Really, it was pretty good.  We have it recorded on DVR so I am sure I will get to watch it several times more.

Look what I get to wake up to

Every morning

Lily is 5 months old now.  She is all smiles all the time.  She started life as such a fussy little person.  But she is just such a joy baby now.  I love her so much.

priceless

Zoe and Nick were playing in the backyard yesterday.  When I checked on them, this is what I saw.

You dont say

Taken at the Bear River Bird Refuge on our adventures yesterday.

What do you do in the Summer Time?

We do just about EVERYTHING!!!  At the beginning of the summer I started a blog to keep track of our near daily activities.  “Summer Fun in Utah“.  I found I enjoyed blogging about what we do, I started another blog. “All Aboard, Utah“.

So, as you can see, what don’t we do?  I try and keep things as inexpensive as possible and I often think “Well, that was free, except the $75.00 it cost in gas.”

I ask the kids quite often what their favorite and least favorite activities were.  It helps me plan future activities.  So far the favorite was Bridal Veil Falls and the least favorite was Kennecott Copper Mine.

It has been a busy summer but I have enjoyed keeping busy.  And I have enjoyed spending so much time with my children.

Hopefully we have found a home

for this blog :)   And hopefully I can keep it active and going.  Just a way to keep in touch with family and with our little (big) family.

I always like to share photos, so here is one for today.

Little Houdini…I mean Zoe…in her car seat.  We were on the way to Grandma K’s for the 4th of July.
